IBGE promotes workshop for comunicators on the 12th Census of Agriculture, Forestry and Aquaculture

On May 5, the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) will hold the workshop “12th Census of Agriculture, Forestry and Aquaculture: Communication, Mobilization and Information Quality,” aimed at preparing communicators for the coverage and dissemination of the survey information.
The activity is part of the mobilization process for the 2nd Pilot Test of the operation and aims to bring the Institute closer to local communities, in addition to strengthening the communication of information with journalists and communicators in general. The initiative also seeks to encourage the participation of civil society in the census process, reinforcing the importance of the Census for producing data that portray the reality of the Brazilian countryside.
The workshop will be led by experts from the IBGE technical team and will take place on-line, from 9 am to 11 am. The program will address communication strategies and tools used by the IBGE, as well as the experience of accessing, navigating and understanding the data available on the IBGE's digital platforms.
This is a strategic initiative aimed at strengthening communication of the 12th Census of Agriculture, Forestry and Aquaculture, which will be carried out in 2027, throughout the national territory. By promoting dialogue with communicators, the activity seeks to qualify the dissemination of information, expand the scope of the survey and help society understand the relevance of the operation, ensuring that its results faithfully reflect the reality of the Brazilian countryside.
Those interested in participating must register through the IBGE Store by April 30.
