Upgrading of Master Sample of IBGE´s Integrated System of Household Surveys - 2025


Having finished the 2022 Population Census, we inform that the IBGE began to upgrade the Master Sample of the Integrated System of Household Surveys - SIPD. Its major goal is to incorporate the new territorial and demographic dynamics of the country, assuring that the SIPD surveys remain reflecting the Brazilian reality.

The implementation of the new Master Sample will be gradual, starting in the the third quarter of 2025 and finishing in the third quarter of 2026, and it will remain in use until the next redesign, scheduled to the 2030 Population Census.
