The IBGE informs the launching of the new Data dashboard of the System of Vital Statistics - Sub-registration and Underreporting of Births and Deaths, which provides a new way to view and analyze data on sub-registrations and underreportings of births and deaths.

"Sub-registrations/underreportings of births and deaths correspond to the set of events not registered within the legal deadline, despite the fact that most certificates are free of charge, social and economic vulnerabilities, expenditures in transportation and large distances between local communities and Registry Offices of Natural Persons, usually available in areas with higher population density, end up inhibiting the access from some population segments to such services."
