IBGE will update seasonal adjustment methods for PIM-PF


The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics will release, at 9 am on April 2, the results of the update of the seasonal adjustment methods of the Monthly Survey of Industry: Physical Production - PIM-PF.

The update of the seasonal adjustment models (parameters and adjustment factors) incorporates the most recent periods with the available data from the survey. Due to the use of new seasonal adjustment models and estimation methods, the deseasonalized series may have their values ​​revised from the beginning of the time series to the most recent data – this will occur for all series whose new seasonal adjustment model differs from that previously used.
