The IBGE will release, on December 7, at 10 am, the Continuous National Household Sample Survey: Victimization: Thefts and Robberies 2021. This publication presents results on the module Thefts and robberies that was applied to the population aged 15 and over. The survey investigates the occurrence of thefts and robberies of goods commonly used in housing units or victimization of persons due to these crimes out of the household. These data add to the understanding of the violence panorama in the country, since, by means of household surveys, it is possible to estimate the proportion of non-report of these crimes to the police. Besides these data, the survey also shows indicators about the existence of devices or employees for the security of the housing unit and their acquisition in the last 12 months prior to the survey.
