Manual aiming at guiding the institutions interested in the installation of a GNSS station (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) of continuous operation, compatible with the Brazilian Network of Continuous Monitoring of GNSS Systems - RBMC, including the minimum requirements and recommendations to the implementation and operation.
About the publication - Orientations for Installation of GNSS Continuous Monitoring Stations Compatible with RBMC
The operation of the Brazilian Network of Continuous Monitoring of the GNSS Systems - RBMC is based on the voluntary cooperation among a number of institutions, either governmental or academic, which should follow regular norms and have key conditions to assure the operability and quality of the data produced by the stations.
By launching this publication, the IBGE presents technical guidelines to the implementation of a GNSS station of continuous operation, compatible with the RBMC, describing the requirements and minimum recommendations to the implementation and operation, as well as the major guidelines to integrate a new permanent station into the GNSS Systems. The development of the publication is not only based on the international technical literature, but also on the experience acquired by the IBGE over the years, concerning the modernization of the Network and its expansion.
