As part of the celebrations of the 90th anniversary of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics - IBGE, State Thematic Seminars will be held. The initiative reinforces the concept that marks the 90 years: “My State / My Brazil / Our IBGE,” highligting the IBGE journey and contributions in every Brazilian state.
Each Federation Unit will host a seminar, with an approach that values local experiences, work of officials and partnership with regional institutions, highlighting how the IBGE is built at national level from state singularities.
The State Thematic Seminars will include nine thematic areas, reflecting the diversity and complexity of the activities developed by the Institute throughout its history: Administrative; Data Collection; Dissemination; Geosciences; Partnerships; Surveys; State Superintendencies and Branches; Technology and Training and Qualification.
