On May 13 and 14, 2026, the IBGE organizes the 16th Brazil in Figures Seminar, at Casa Brasil IBGE, Palácio da Fazenda (RJ). The event will take place from 9 am to 5 pm and is part of the commemorative program for the Institute's 90th anniversary.
With 14 scheduled thematic panels, the seminar is intended to promote high-quality discussions on different dimensions of the Brazilian reality, by approaching social, economic, cultural, territorial, political and housing-related aspects, in addition to topics such as technological advance, environment, education, among others.
The seminar is directly associated with the release of the 33rd edition of “Brazil in Figures”, a traditional bilingual (Portuguese-English) publication issued annually by the IBGE presenting a comprehensive overview of social, demographic and economic aspects in Brazil.
