Watch live, on Tuesday (28), at 3 pm, the launch of the 32nd edition of the bilingual publication Brazil in Figures. The event will be held at the auditorium of Ricardo Brennand Institute, in Recife (PE) and streamed online on the social media channels of the Institute and on Digital IBGE.
The annual publication, which gathers more than 30 authors in almost 500 pages, will be available in Portuguese and in English. The book has 23 chapters with analyses based on statistics and information produced by the IBGE and partner institutions about health, education, housing, environement, among other topics. , and also in printed format. The launch will be streamed live on Digital IBGE (ibge.gov.br) and on the Institute's social media channels. In 2024, works from Ricardo Brennand Institute, located in Recife, were selected to illustrate the publication.
The launch is a partnership with the Superintendence for the Development of Brazilian Northeast (Sudene), Banco do Nordeste do Brasil (Bank of the Northeast of Brazil) and the State Government of Pernambuco and aims at providing evidence to guide public policies.
Brazil in Figures has been published every year since 1992. In addition to information produced by the IBGE, the authors use data from institutions such as the Central Bank, regulatory agencies, Federal Ministries and other public bodies.
