The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) will release the results of the Municipal Agricultural Production (PAM) this Thursday, the 12th, at 10 am, in the auditorium on the 4th floor of the Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply of the State of São Paulo (SAA-SP), located at Praça Ramos de Azevedo, 254, Historic Center of the city of São Paulo. The release is being held in partnership with SAA-SP, and will be broadcast online by Digital IBGE, on the Institute's social networks, and on the Secretariat's YouTube channel: https://youtube.com/@agriculturasp.
The event will be attended by the president of the IBGE, Marcio Pochmann, and the agronomist and national supervisor of PAM, Winicius Wagner, from the Agricultural Coordination of the IBGE Directorate of Surveys, and Bianca Schmid, Agricultural Supervisor of the Superintendency of SP, who will present the national and regional results of the survey.
The two undersecretaries of Agriculture and Supply, Orlando Melo de Castro and Diógenes Kassaoka, respectively, will participate on behalf of the State Secretariat. In addition to these, the coordinator of the São Paulo Agency for Agribusiness Technologies (APTA), Carlos Nabil Ghobril, and the director of the Institute of Agricultural Economics (IEA-Apta), Felipe Camargo, will also participate.
The Municipal Agricultural Production survey annually investigates the main products of the country's temporary and permanent crops, which are characterized not only by their great economic importance in the export agenda, but also by their social relevance, as they are components of the Brazilian basic staple food.
