Between July 29th and August 2nd, the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) will host the National Conference of Data Producers and Users - National Sovereignty in Geosciences, Statistics and Data: risks and opportunities for Brazil in the Digital Era.
As a part of the series of IBGE historic conferences, such as CONFEST and CONFEGE, the National Conference of Data Producers and Users aims at discussing the risks and opportunities that arise from the current governance of the Digital Era, and address the consolidation of the National System of Geosciences, Statistics and Data (SINGED).
Next Monday (April 29), at 3:30 pm, in order to celebrate the partnership between the IBGE and UERJ, the president of the Institute, Márcio Pochmann and UERJ's dean, Gulnar Azevedo e Silva, will give information about the Conference, in an event that will be broadcast exclusively by the IBGE Digital channel and social media.
UERJ supports and will host the National Conference of Data Producers and Users, which will be held at UERJ's Maracanã Campus, located at 524 São Francisco Xavier Street - it is the largest UERJ Campus in size and number of courses. The Conference will discuss the risks and opportunities that arise from the current governance of Digital Era, and address the consolidation of the National System of Geosciences, Statistics and Data (SINGED), an IBGE proposal for Brazil, based on a dialogue with its civil servants, governments, academic institutions, powers, companies, unions and society.
At the event on Monday, 29th, the IBGE will disclose other Conference supporters and the preliminary schedule.
