These are free, self-instruction, distance learning courses, available to society and offer conclusion certificates to participants. Registration for the course Extracting Information from the IBGE will be open up to June 13, and can be concluded until July 11. Students will learn concepts that guide culture aiming at the use of data for the extraction of information and the different possibilities made available by the IBGE.
To attend the course on SIDRA one can register up to June 27, and can be concluded until July 25. With this training, the participant will do basic tasks in the IBGE Automatic Retrieval System – SIDRA, such as search information, create frames, find rankings, download files and generate graphs and cartograms.
For those who want to participate in the two courses, we present, as a better learning experience, a suggested sequence to learn in a very practical way how to extract information from data produced by the IBGE.
The course on SIDRA was conceived by the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE), academic arm of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE). And the course Extracting Information from the IBGE was developed by ENCE in partnership with the United Nations population Fund (UNFPA), UN branch engaged in the formulation and monitoring of programs on population and development. In case of doubt, send a message to capacitacao@ibge.gov.br with the name of the course in the subject line .
